Membership
To be eligible for membership in Peach County Fire Department Explorer Post 900, an applicant must:
- Have an interest in firefighting and the desire to possibly becoming a certified firefighter.
- Be between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. Exception: If you are within six months of your 14th birthday, you may submit a membership application for consideration.
- Be in good physical and mental health.
- Be in school and making satisfactory (or better) progress. A Fire Explorer is expected to maintain a C+ or better average in all school courses.
- Submit a membership application form.
- Submit the Consent Form signed by your parents or legal guardian.

- Have the time to attend and participate in Explorer Post 900 activities and events.

If your application is accepted and you are invited to join Explorer Post 900, you will have an adult advisor to assist you on a one-to-one basis during the early stages of your membership. The adult advisor will be available to answer your questions and to make sure you get started in the program on the right foot. The Fire Explorers Officers will also help you toward becoming an accepted member of Explorer Post 900.
Female Fire Explorers. Any time a female Fire Explorer attends an activity or event, there will be an adult female advisor present.
